Sacha-Ann has been working with the Rehabilitation Institute of the Caribbean since its inception. She attended Florida International University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2000, and in 2003 earned a Masters of Business Administration with honours in International Business.
Sacha-Ann is a board certified Occupational Therapist who brings with her more than 16 years of experience as a clinician, specializing in Upper Extremity Orthopaedic and Neurological Rehab. She served as Clinic Director for Physiotherapy Associates in Miami, Florida for seven years, where she was responsible for patient care and the management of an outpatient rehabilitation centre before returning to Jamaica in November 2009.
She works with a wide range of clients, including children, athletes and the elderly. She has extensive experience in orthopaedic and sports injuries, in particular hand trauma, shoulder instabilities and hemi-arthroplasty. She is a member of the Movement Disorder Society, an international organization focusing on research in conditions such as Parkinson’s Disease. She has served as Secretary and President of the Occupational Therapy Association of Jamaica.
